We watched a male Cooper's Hawk flying alongside the road near sunset. Then a mature Bald eagle sitting in the distance high in a tree appeared. As I tried to focus to get a picture we noticed the female Cooper's sitting close by. The two just stared at each other until another car came along and spooked them. We never spotted the male Coop again.
