Location
While visiting family in Costa Rica a couple of years ago, I attended my Grandaughter's performances. This is an image of the lead male dancer/choreographer.Time
It was early evening.Lighting
For this performance the dancer was illuminated by theatrical spot that followed his movements and left the rest of the stage and audience in the dark. It made getting the timing for this movement shot relatively easy.Equipment
I used a Canon sx50.Inspiration
This particular performance was full of grace and magic. I have several shots. This one turned out best. I like the sense of movement in a still image.Editing
I did one minor cropping.In my camera bag
I carry two Nikon cameras regularly. Since I shoot mostly nature images, I have a Nikkor 200 -500mm zoom and a 105micro with me often. For this event there is typically not enough light for my usual set-up so I went for a nice little bridge camera made by Canon, a SX50. It was perfect for the occasion.Feedback
