Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken in Newport Tennessee, which is in east Tennessee in the foothills of the Great Smokey Mountains.

Time

I just found the original file for this photo and it was taken on December 15, 2019 at 11:20AM. For some reason, the details of the photo changed when I edited te photo in Picasa.

Lighting

After an night of snowfall, the sun came out and everything began to sparkle. As I took my normal walk down our driveway, the morning light was coming through the trees and I was struck by the beauty of it.

Equipment

My cameras are "bridge" cameras, no lens. This was taken with Sony Cybershot DSC-H7.

Inspiration

The morning sunlight through the trees on the snow called to be captured. The scene was simply breathtaking and ill remember it always.

Editing

I believe I adjusted the white balance in Picasa and possibly Lightroom. Sorry, i don't recall the exact adjustment. But the shot didn't require a lot of post processing. The scene was so perfect.

In my camera bag

I carry my two cameras, both are Sony Cybershot H-7 and H-300.

Feedback

I can only say that Winter scenes can offer great opportunities for landscape and nature enthusiasts. Adjusting settings on the camera and some post processing can help capture what you see in Winter snow settings.
