The enclosed cloisters dated from around 1400, is lying at the west end of the chapel. The square, stone cloisters surrounds a central lawn with a large Ilex tree in the north-west corner, and is overlooked by the stone bell tower (1396-1405) standing adjacent to the north. It is an unusual feature. The covered walk around a green enclosure resembles the monastic garth, but has no functional buildings leading off it as is customary in a monastery.
