Behind The Lens
Location
This photo was taken whilst on a walk with my dog through a local country parkTime
It was taken late morning on a summers day which was fairly overcast.Lighting
It was a chance sighting of the Jay. Although my camera was primed for such a shot I did not have time to do any manual settings.Equipment
I used a Nikon D3500 with a 18mm - 55mm lens. I now also photograph with a Nikon Z50 and also use a telephoto 70mm - 300mm lens fitted to an FTZ adapter.Inspiration
It was my love of photographing birds, the opportunity and the fact I had not seen a Jay so close for photographing.Editing
As it was an 18mm -55m lens I enlarged the photo a little making it bigger but nothing done to the colouring. In my camera bag
I am only an amateur and always carry the two aforementioned cameras plus my flash gun and accessories for cleaning.Feedback
Be aware of what's going on around you. Often it's a split second chance to get a shot like this and you have to be prepared.
