Location
This was taken in Okonjima reserve Namibia. These cats are survivers of individuals that have been killed for taking goats from local farmers. These reared and then let go in a safe environment far from any farmers stock.Cheetah /human conflict is on the increase due to the grazing of ever larger flocks of goats and sometimes sheep. This individual seems to be surviving without the need of domestic kills. Farmers are being encouraged to have dogs to protect their flocks and disouraging predation by Cheetahs.Time
Early morning at about 7.00am after perhaps a restful night. Cheetahs are visual hunters and have to careful of Lions and Hyena's their main competitors for valuable prey. They both attack and kill Cheetah.Lighting
The sun rises in Namibia at 6.00 am, so it is still a fairly soft light at this time of dayEquipment
