Location
This was taken on the north bank of the River Thames near Chelsea in London during a very rare snowfall. I used the row of lights as my focal point and waited in the pouring snow for people to appear out of blizzard. This woman came along with her umbrella, a perfect subject in these conditions !!Time
It was in the afternoon about 2.00 pm As people were leaving the capitol to get home as many transport systems were getting full due to the weather !Lighting
In snow there is surprisingly a lot of bounced light due from the snow and sky itself. No direct light was used on this and a shutter speed of just about fast enough to record the scene. There is a sense of softness too !! due to the amount of snow falling !!Equipment
Canon EOS 5D Mk3 100/300 Canon IS Lens F4/5.6Inspiration
I am fascinated by weather and the way we interact with it's extremes. Snow in the South of England is guaranteed to cause traffic and transport problems. Also how the populace reacts to this !! It makes for wonderful pictorial images.Editing

Always be aware of opportunities and have a contingency plan. Get to locations early/late as depends what you take. Check the weather, the light. sunset/ sunrise and of course be aware of inclement weather. Make sure you are wearing the correct attire, correct foot ware, food for energy. Tell someone where your going !! Research the area, have plenty of idea's !!!!
