The Great Stupa of Universal Compassion in Bendigo

Nestled in the middle of the trees and bushes, away from traffic, distraction and noise, hidden from plain sight, is The Great Stupa in Bendigo
Upon seeking permission from the management, I'm honored to be given their full blessings in allowing me to fly my drone and capture some aerial images of their magnificent structure and also interior shots.
Here's sharing some images and a little background information on the Great Stupa of Universal Compassion in Bendigo.

"A stupa also known as a pagoda, is the most sacred building in Buddhism. A stupa symbolises the enlightened mind and the path to enlightenment. A stupa is also a reliquary to house holy relics of the Buddha and other highly realized beings.
It's still work in progress as captured and they estimated the completion of the entire structure to be finished by end 2019.
The Great Stupa in Bendigo is the same design and size as the Gyantse Stupa (Kumbum) in Tibet, (50sqm at its base and approx 50m in height) making it the largest stupa in the western world and southern hemisphere.
Inside the structure is the main hall which sits the largest jade buddha in the world, carved from a rare boulder of translucent jade (known as Polar Pride also dubbed as the find of the century) which was discovered in Canada in year 2000. The Jade Buddha is 2.5 metres high, sits on an alabaster throne of close to 1.6 metres high and the jade buddha itself weighs a whooping 4 tonne."
