A few final opportunities to capture the Milky Way Galactic Center-Milky Way Galactic Plane or simply know as The Milky Way before it gets really low along the horizon and dimmer here in the Southern Hemisphere. The Milky Way is now getting very near the horizon as summer approaches and in a matter of 1-2 weeks' time, it will be gone. We at the Southern Hemisphere would have to wait for approx 6 months before we are able to see it again. Hence the best time to shoot the Milky Way down under is during the winter season.
Here's an image of the Milky Way, captured on 3rd Nov 2018 at 10.30pm in Landsborough Victoria, some 230km (2.5 hrs drive) northwest of Melbourne. The location of the Milky Way as captured here is towards the west where the sun sets. In an earlier shot at about 9.30pm, the Milky Way was situated further away from the horizon.
