Located in the Market Place in the centre of Wilton is St Mary’s Church built in 15th century.

An earlier church on this site saw Bishop Robert de Bingham consecrated in 1229. Bishop Bingham succeeded Bishop Pore who was responsible for moving Salisbury Cathedral from Old Sarum to its current location in the centre of Salisbury. Bishop Bingham completed the construction of the cathedral after Bishop Pore’s death’

The statue of Robert de Bingham can be see above the main door of St Mary’s Church.
