Location
Photo was taken at the excellent Imperial War Museum at RAF Duxford in England on the 6th June 2019 which is the 75th aniversary of D-Day invasion of Normandy in 1943 in which many thousand British,American and alied soilders fought bravely to defeat the Axis powers.. This was a two day event which i gladly attended both days to see the many vintage military aircraft that dropped soilders into France all those years ago.Time
Midmorning i took a break from the outside vintage aircraft displays and rested with a coffe in the large exhibition hangar where i met this delightful member of the British Army Parachure Remiment (3Para) - Of note is the very rare Pathfinder badge on his right arm .. Meaning he was dropped into Normandy well before the main force was dropped on 6th June 1943Lighting
Inside the vast Exhibition hangar the light was very poor , i had to shoot handheld at a low shutter speed with ISO and no flashEquipment
Generally for close up shots i use a Nikon D5200 with my trusty Sigma 18-300 , for outside shots i use a Sigma 150-500Inspiration
This veteran was being taken on a tour of the D-Day Exhibition Hangar by a current day Parachute Regiment soilder so i didn't want to cause any delay of distraction for them . During a brief pause in their tour i got into position for this shot .. Luckily he looked right at me just long enough to get this shot.Editing

In my camera bag are a pair of Nikon D5200 with a Sigma 18-300 and a Sigma 150-500Feedback
I suppose my best advice for similar photography is using a flash may upset elder people if they're not expecting to be photographed, sadly the trade off will be extra noise because of the high ISO
