This photo was taken at home, there is enough space for my border collie to run. She is really energetic and I thought at that time "I must work on my action shots". This was the time I got my new Nikon D850.Time
I took this photo around 9 AM when the sun was out but not too harsh, a cloudy day is also my favourite time to shoot.Lighting
A cloudy day is my favourite time to shoot so that the shadows are not hard and highlights are not too bright.Equipment
My equipment I used at that time was my Nikon D850 with my Sigma 105mm 2.8 Macro lens.Inspiration
To try out my new camera and do some action shots. My border collie is also a big part of my life and she is trained to do pretty much anything so I got her excited and she mostly run in circles (because of her OCD), and she barked at me while I sat on the floor to take the photo.Editing
I did use post-processing. To get this specific effect, I used the gradient tool and a lot of brushing to get this photo right in Photoshop. In my camera bag
I only have my Nikon D850 with me along with my Sigma 24-70mm 2.8 and my Sigma 105mm 2.8 Macro lenses. I really love my Sigma 24-70mm 2.8 because of the wide angle it gives me and the F/2.8 is amazing, super sharp lens as well. My Sigma 105mm 2.8 Macro is fun to use for small things and details.Feedback
For action shots, you must be patient if you know what photo you want. The lighting can affect your image so I would suggest try a shady area or on a cloudy day. Also think about the composition and where your focus point must be to focus on the eye of the animal, I mostly use autofocus because of F/2.8. Anything is possible to achieve when it comes to photography.
