Behind The Lens

Location

The photo was taken along the Ottawa River.

Time

It was taken after 10pm.

Lighting

For the fireworks show, I adjusted the shutter speed in order to capture the right amount of light, and in this case, the trails of light.

Equipment

Hand held older Sony a65v with 1680z lens. No flash.

Inspiration

It is always exciting to watch fireworks. It's more exciting trying to capture the mood and dazzling atmosphere the fireworks create.

Editing

I cropped the photo a bit.

In my camera bag

I bring an extra battery and extra memory card.

Feedback

Go out and to capture several fireworks shows. In doing this, you will see what works right with your camera and the types of shots you prefer....ie a clutter of simultaneous explosions, different coloured combinations, or the gigantic ones.
