Behind The Lens

Location

I took this image in my first studio, I was playing around with a fake shower set up, shower curtain with water, one light behind me, it was my very first attempt at a fake shower shot. I was even the model, had to set up the good old tripod. We had just finished the studio in the cabin, and I had just started to really get into Boudoir.

Time

It was taken in the evening, one spring day.

Lighting

One panel light on a stand directly behind me. I am not sure if the overhead light was on but probably, I need as much light as I could.

Equipment

Canon Rebel, a cheap tripod, 2-panel lights with stands, a backdrop stand, a clear shower curtain sprayed with water.

Inspiration

I was taking a Boudoir course for my business, and I had never done a shot like this, I needed to know that I could pull it off, and I also wanted a sexy photo of myself too.

Editing

I am not sure I did too much, other than turning it black and white.

In my camera bag

I had just about everything, tripods, lens, filters, cleaning stuff, now I keep it simple, the camera, the lens, a cleaning cloth, an extra battery, and a tripod usually.

Feedback

practice, get the setting right in camera, or you will have a ton of processing to do. I got lucky, and for the longest time really disliked how this image wasn't better. So just keep trying, practice makes perfect.
