Lovely photo. Can you improve the sharpness?

I honestly am not sure how, I only have paint.net, and the photo app that came on my laptop, and neither of those has a sharpness fix, if you know how I am open to pointers.

Behind The Lens

Location

I took this photo out on the Hope peninsula on my way to a cleaning job. It's a deer sanctuary and deer are everywhere out there, I always have my camera with me and ready for shoots like this. I stopped on the road and this young deer was just standing there looking at me.

Time

It was mid day, between noon and 2 pm.

Lighting

The sun was hot and directly above, the trees and the shade they created helped with this shot.

Equipment

I have a cannon rebel, I was using the 50-80mm lens.

Inspiration

The deer an I seemed to be playful watching each other, and when he stuck his tongue out, I had to take the shot. I got several shots of this young deer that day.

Editing

I think the only thing I did in post was ad a bit more color, sharpen a bit, the background came out with the blur and I liked it.

In my camera bag

My camera, both lens, 50mm, and 50-80mm, cleaning stuff, tripods.

Feedback

Patience and be in the right place at the right time. I took me years to get this shot.
