This bronze sculpture is a memory to the Shoshone woman interpreter Sacajawea and her son John Baptiste, who were members of the Lewis & Clark expedition during the early years of the 19th Century. Seaman (lower right corner) a Newfoundland dog, was part of the expedition from start to finish.
