Location
This is on Derwent water in the lake district Cumbria uk. The sun sets behind the mountains and if the water is still can create some great reflections.Time
This was as the sun was setting. The cloud coverage wasnt great for a great sunset but I made so with what I had making it a long exposure to level the water outLighting
As the sun sets behind the mountains in background of the image you can sometimes get some great sunsets if the cloud coverage is good.Equipment
Nikon D7200 with a sigma 10-20mm lens and a 10 stop filter. Manfrotto tripod.Inspiration
I have always wanted to get a decent sunset shot from the lake district considering it's a 2 and half hour drive so waiting around for sunset came sometimes pay off.Editing
I rarely do alot to my images. A little saturation and some clarity usually and maybe lift the shadows. In my camera bag
I carry what I need for good landscape shots. A wide angle and a range of filters.Feedback
Be in position about an hour before sunset as sometimes the sky can light up nicely anytime between then and the sun going down. Also dont pack up too early as you may miss the final glow as it goes down past horizon.
