Behind The Lens

Location

The photo was taken during Epcot’s Flower and Garden Festival. I was auditioning at Disney World in the morning and later went to EPCOT, with a mission to photograph flowers and wildlife.

Time

This is taken in the afternoon just as the sun began to be covered by clouds-two hours later it was dark and pouring rain!

Lighting

This is one of my favorite shots. I spent about ten minutes with this butterfly, following it around until the lighting was perfect.

Equipment

This was shot on a Nikon D3300 using a 55mm lens.

Inspiration

I love animals in their natural habit. That’s my best work in my opinion. The flowers added extra beauty without over compensating the butterfly.

Editing

I don’t believe I did any post processing other than cropping.

In my camera bag

Depends where I’m going, time of year and day and what I have in mind to shoot.

Feedback

EPCOT’s Flower and Harden Festival has remarkable topiaries, flowers and landscaping that are worth photography.
