I captured this photo while hiking along the Madison River in Yellowstone National Park in May. After having composed and completed the photos I noticed some movement off to the right. It was pack of four wolves, three grey-white and one black alpha. I grabbed 600mm lens began photographing. Since the wolves were a few hundred yards off and the light was dwindling, the photo were not optimal. However, the experience on this photo shoot was one I will never forget. I was reminded how close I was to nature, and that I should always exercise strong caution when apex predators are nearby and active.
