Location
This photo is of the John C. Roebling Bridge as it enters Cincinnati, Ohio. It was taken from across the Ohio River on the river bank of Covington, Kentucky.Time
I decided to go down after dark and shoot some shots of the city from across the river.Lighting
I was just looking to capture some images of the city at night using the available light.Equipment
This was shot on a tripod with a Nikon D810 and a Tamron 70 - 200 lens and a shutter release.Inspiration
I really liked the ferris wheel behind the bridge. The lights and patterns of the ferris wheel were constantly changing. I took quite a few images before getting this one.Editing
Post processing this image was very simple. I set the white and black points, adjusted the shadows and highlights a little and added a little contrast. In my camera bag
I usually carry a Nikon D810, a Tamron 70 - 200, a flash and a small diffuser and reflector. I may add a 24 - 70 or a 50mm. Sometimes I'll carry a D7000 with a 70 - 300 if I think I'll need more telephoto length.Feedback
A tripod and a shutter release are a must. Don't forget to turn off any vibration compensation. Take several shots. Have fun.
