Location
This photo was taken of the Elk River Falls in North Carolina on one of my “Wandering” trips.Time
Mid-Morning!Lighting
I got stuck in road construction on a two lane rural road trying to get to the falls. So, I didn’t get there until mid-morning; but the clouds provided a better natural lighting scenario.Equipment
This was shot with a Nikon D5600, Nikon DC 18-55mm lens and a Tri-pod.Inspiration
Im semi retired...I love nature and nature photography. So, I’m teaching myself by combining my interests. When I have the chance I love to “Wander” or pack my camera and my dog and head to area area we’ve never been. Walk or drive around and talk to locals to find and photograph the beauty of nature wherever I find myself. This spot captured the peaceful beauty of nature.Editing
I try not to process too much because I haven’t spent enough time developing my skill. So, I typically use Photoshop Express to provide minor adjustments. In my camera bag
I always bring my Nikon D5600 and my D60. Nikon lenses 18-55, 70-300 and I recently acquired a 18-200. I’ll either use a tripod or a mono-pod depending on the trip.Feedback
Talk to the locals...if you Google Waterfalls in North Carolina...this site doesn’t show up. I stopped and talked to a local shop owner who told me about this spot. Definitely off of the beaten path; but worth the detour.
