Behind The Lens

Location

I took this photo near Montebello Quebec

Time

This was taken on an overcast day in the afternoon

Lighting

The key was to have diffuse lighting; a bright sunny day would not have allowed for such even tones throughout the image

Equipment

I shoot with Nikon and this was a while ago so I think it was a Nikon D3s or D4 with a 600 mm lens

Inspiration

The simple and obvious answer is the bear cub in a tree

Editing

I always do post processing which typically includes noise reduction, sharpening, vibrance and or saturation to taste

In my camera bag

I normally travel with a full frame camera, crop camera from 14mm to 600mm all Nikon with a tripod and a bean bag

Feedback

With any wildlife image, its a combination of factors that include finding a subject of interest in a good setting with pleasing light
