Behind The Lens

Location

I was driving around my town, trying to find a good location to do portraits of my neice when I happened to see a patch of different wild flowers on the side of an access road to the river.

Time

It was around 4pm on a bright, cloudless day!

Lighting

The lighting was pretty harsh so I had to lower my exposure a bit to get the image a little darker.

Equipment

Canon T6 with my 18-55mm lens

Inspiration

I've been seeing a lot of wonderful pictures here on Viewbug, just like this. I wanted to imitate the same!

Editing

I did do light processing in Photoshop. I bumped up the levels a little and lowered some of the saturation because the flower was too pink and seemed a little forced. Cropped the image tighter so it fills the frame then added my logo.

In my camera bag

Canon T6, couple lenses and a few filters

Feedback

If it's on a dry day, bring a squirt bottle so you can spray some water to get the drops on the flower!
