Location
I took this photo in our garden in South Africa.Time
It was either mid morning, or mid afternoon. It was quite a shadey area.Lighting
The mottled shade of the surrounding acacia trees made a lovely background.Equipment
Canon 1200D, with a tripod. Sigma 300mm lens.Inspiration
We noticed the 2 parents flying around frequently, then realized she was sitting on a nest. A few weeks later we saw the chicks. We were eventually also able to watch the youngsters leave the nest, with their parents urging them on.Editing
No post processing :)In my camera bag
My canon 1200D, both the kit lens and the 300mm sigma, a lens cleaning pen and sun hood, and a few bean baggies.Feedback
Be aware of the birds and little animals around you. Even if you hear a particular bird commotion. Sometimes, in Africa, it could mean a snake, a water monitor lizard, or a raptor.
