While wandering through the streets of Cojimar, Cuba, this elderly woman started talking to me in Spanish from her patio. Not having a clue as to what she was saying, I summoned my translator. She was asking if she could possibly have my pen and a few sheets of paper from my notebook I carry while on photo safaris. In exchange, I was able to get a few portraits, including one with my trusty Fuji Instax instant camera. With her granddaughter peeking out from behind, she proudly posed with that little instant photo. I love the expressions of the woman and the little girl...a moment captured in time.
