Behind The Lens

Location

The photo was taken in my province-Northern Samar, Philippines, particularly in the Municipality of Las Navas, Northern Samar. I was a self-taught hobbyist photographer at that time, so I always wanted to preserve memories through photographs every places that I had visited.

Time

This is probably my best shot. I remember waking up at around 7:00 A.M. at my friend farmhouse when I had heard children's laughters and out of my curiosity, I went outside with my Nikon D3000 and saw the kids happily playing in the rice field. I was amazed by their laughters and innocent smiles, and how they truly enjoy living in the farm This photo was taken on 17 of May 2011 at around 7:30-8:00 A.M.

Lighting

None. That day is gloomy so there was no particular in the lighting and the image came as natural as I expected.

Equipment

This was shot by my first camera, Nikon D3000, with an 18-55mm lens. No other equipments was involved or used.

Inspiration

The beautiful smiles and the pure happiness of the Childrens faces in the countryside while they happily enjoying, playing, smiling in the rice field with the carabao.

Editing

This image does not need post-processing. I wanted it to look the way I shot it.

In my camera bag

Since I am a hobbyist photographer, the equipment I usually have in my bag at that time was my Nikon D3000 with the kit lens (18-55mm lens).
