Taken from home...the front yard. View is across the street.

Time

Early morning.. the desert is usually dry and seldom fog. But this morning when I took my dogs out for a walk and I saw the beauty of fog here, not at the beach...their walk never happened until later. Took them inside and took out my canon camera and filled my eyes and camera lens with images of desert fog! Not just ground fog, the ceiling was low as the fog rose up to meet the warmth of the sun.

Lighting

Natural lighting at about 6am. The sun had just risen over the Eastern mountains to begin its journey over this desert valley. As the sunlight begins to warm the earth after a cool night, apparently that morning, there was ground moisture, that is what makes fog!

Canon Power shotSX 50HS / Hand held / no flash

Inspiration

You seldom see real desert fog. Most fog in the desert is ground fog perhaps after a rain which is seldom and less so these days. Having a photographic heart and eye could not let this opportunity pass.

Editing

No post processing..right out of camera!
