Behind The Lens

Location

In a winter garden that houses large varieties of butterflies and flowers and plants.

Time

In the afternoon, in winter.

Lighting

Lighting was provided by natural light in late March, at a northern latitude (Canada), plus neons and other artifical means.

Equipment

No tripod or flash. Camera was a Canon EOS 6D, Sigma A 50mm, Iso 400, F\4, at 1\50th.

Inspiration

The combination of the butterfly and the vegetal elements, leaves, etc, on the plant it sat upon.

Editing

I only cropped the image to make it square as I though it would enhance the combination of vegetal vertical and diagonal lines with the buttefly on top.

In my camera bag

A Canon 6D, a Sony A500, and film cameras such as Konica T4, Minolta 700, or Rollei 3.5

Feedback

Next time, I would use a tripod to practice bokeh.
