Location
I took this photo in my dinning room. I took advantage of the glass in the table.Time
I came from office a little bit tired, but I was very interested in both, chess and my camera. I wanted to show my new set to friends. So at 8pm, I started to take some shoots in the living room and eventually I noted the table in the dinning room. I simply put the set on it.Lighting
I was experimented with ISO, flash, obturator. I wanted some kind of lighten effect. So, I put the set below the white led light bulb. This was the result.Equipment
I shot with a Nikon D700, with a 50mm lens. No tripod used.Inspiration
Back in those days I was studied a lot of chess. And I have a new 50mm new lens. So, I saw a lot of chess pictures around. I only wanted to feature my set with others colleagues and gamers just as the beautiful pictures in the chess books and websites that I checked. I suppose I also needed to use my lens and camera! My chess set would be my model. And there it was.Editing
I only corrected some colors in Snapped (yes, that app for iOS).In my camera bag
Actually: my iPhone XR. When I'm in photographer mood: Nikon D700 and 50mm lens.Feedback
Just try! Put your "model", set your camera and shoot. A lot of. Be ready for disappointment. You'll be the worst and the best critic of your work. Be patient. And enjoy the process.
