This abandoned homestead stands on a hill on some extended family's property. It was built in the 1800's and is a log "dog trot" type with the kitchen area in the back. Years later the dog-trot was was enclosed and the cabin clad with siding. I have many memories here when a younger man, both in play and in work. I have photographed it several times in different seasons and I always like to include the old tire swing. In this winter's image a group of geese are also "swinging by".
