Location
I took this photo from the mezzanine level of New York Public Library. It is one of my favorite places since it features amazing architectural value as well as the history and information it holds as a library.Time
The photo was taken right before 3pm. The library is a tough place to take shots like this. It is always filled with lots of students and tourists so I had to wait quite a lot to capture this shot.Lighting
This image gave me one of the most pleasurable sights of New York City. You can see the modern street life of 5th ave as well as the yesteryears architecture which you can find quite a lot around the city. However the photo covers both the street and architecture in the same frame.Equipment
Nikon d750 along with my 24-70mm f2.8 lens.Inspiration
Having an architectural and cityscape photo from within side a building was my plan. This photo reflects both the art in the building design and the city where it is located.Editing
There is pretty much no post processing except highlights and shadows. In my camera bag
Most of the time I go with my Nikon d750 and df. Lens chose is 24-70mm, 50mm and 58mm all f2.8. Sometimes I take my Leica q depending on the mood, subject in mind and timing.Feedback
New York Public library is an amazing place for photography however make sure you have a lens with a wide range of options such as my 24-70mm. The ceilings are high, the rooms as very large and there is always plenty of people walking around so zooming may become a great value to make the right capture.
