Behind The Lens

Location

It was about midday back at my place in small town in Poland. I have recently made DIY beauty dish and wanted to test it on pretty much everything.

Time

About a midday at my place back in Poland

Lighting

I wanted to achieve soft big window like light. Because of lack of big windows at my place I use flashes for almost everything. This particular photo was lit with DIY beauty dish made out of stainless steel bowl and peace of aluminium foil to bring out from shadows.

Equipment

Canon 7d2 with 35mm canon on a budget tripod. One Yongnuo flash and aluminium foil. Old small wooden table painted withe was where I placed the subject.

Inspiration

Just boredom I guess. I was trying to test my DIY beauty dish on pretty much every thing I could find at my flat.

Editing

Not much postprocessing was used apart from cloning some yellow spots and cropping. Little bit of light shaping here and there.

In my camera bag

Canon 7d2, 35mm and 70-200. Very often two yongnuo flashes and tripod.

Feedback

Just get the light right. Big soft sources at low angle is the key there.
