Behind The Lens

Location

This beauty was taken during the early hours of a warming summer day in a nature garden on our farm in northern Oklahoma.

Time

I've always been an early riser and the more timid birds are hurrying to drink and feed in the cool morning, using their God given senses for safety in this habitat.

Lighting

A good photographer is constantly alert to rare moments of extraordinary light, subject matter and opportunity. The morning light is soft but clear, showing details that in a few seconds will be gone.

Equipment

I used my 7D Canon, a 70-200 lenses, handheld while standing in my front door at home. A flashing moment that God gifted me with.

Inspiration

I'm always looking for personality shots.... that split second moment that can be captured for all to enjoy.

Editing

No processing. The light was perfect and the subject matter was exquisite.

In my camera bag

I carry a 100mm lense and extra batteries. A tripod in my truck. Water and peanuts.

Feedback
