First, it was 22°F. I was out there about 2 hours. I knew I needed the right sky light and a vehicle with strong headlights. I have about 20 other also-rans from this effort. Finally after cars and a school bus, this pickup truck had just the right lights to bring up the icicles on the fence and outshine the approaching sunrise. When I was done I was soaked in icy water. I took a long, hot shower when I got home.
