From a trip across the Karoo.This often dry and arid region of South Africa holds its own unique beauty and is often only seen by eyes willing to look. It is a place of silence and aloneness and one's spirit must be strong to survive here. For the visitor it offers a chance to forget the noise. This is a typical landscape from the area which is largely dry and flat with small hilly outcrops.
