Location
This photo was a part of a stylized shoot I did called Distressed Beauty. The idea was to take beautiful models that were tattooed and put them in spots that aren't so pretty. This was taken in the Arts District of Las Vegas where there is an area that they have now fenced off of old homes from the 30s and 40s that have been boarded up and been tagged with graffiti.Time
This was early evening around 5:00 pmLighting
Used natural lightEquipment
Canon 6D camera and the Canon 135 lens 2.0Inspiration
Placing beautiful girls in dirty places has always intrigued me, so I created this shoot just to do that.Editing
I use photoshop and do all editing by hand. I have some self created actions saved but typically edit the way I feel fits the photo and the subject. In my camera bag
Normally my Canon 6D and a few prime lens.Feedback
Get creative, plan accordingly, and get out there. I had the location, the HMU, and models all set before this shoot. It ensured I was able to optimize my time. Be aware of your equipment and the basic rules of photography. If you don't understand composition or the exposure triangle it will be very difficult for you to recreate this look or the quality of the photo.
