Location
This photo was made on the Vestrahorn in Iceland. A mythical place, where I come after several years. The light and weather conditions are always different. This year the lagoon in front of the mountains was filled with drift ice. This gave a very fragile effect. I found this so beautiful that I spent hours there.Time
the photo was taken in the early evening. I was preparing for the night, because northern lights were predictedLighting
the photo was made with focus stacking, as I wanted the foreground and the mountains to be sharp.Equipment
I took this picture with the Canon Eos 6D As lens I used a 16-35 mm f 2.8 , a soft Neutral density filter . 1/4 sec , Iso 100 f 10 and 16mmInspiration
the fragility of the ice that creaked under my feet, and the complete loneliness of this beautiful area. Here you come to the realization that despite the daily bustle there are still places on earth that offer the silence and serenity. The peace that we need to bring back to our roots, especially natureEditing
not really , I used LightroomIn my camera bag
I have my camera , a tripod , some lee filters ( llitle stopper and gradient ) , a 14 mm lens and a 16-35 mm lens . ( And my eyes ) . Tripod , for sure .Feedback
try to find deserted areas, and if these areas are crowded, go when others stay home. Also go if there are extreme weather conditions. Cold, fog, rain, wind are circumstances where people stay at home, but where nature is at its best. And, look around, and have a lot of patience!
