Behind The Lens

Location

This was taken from the edge of a field in the Monocacy National Battlefield in Frederick, Maryland. I had been driving by when my eye was drawn the to the natural frame of the trees. Many of my pictures end up with foliage as a frame - it is just something that my eye is drawn to.

Time

A bright November morning at 8:08.

Lighting

Just a beautiful creamy early morning light.

Equipment

Canon 5 D MK III and Canon EF 24-105mm at 45mm and f/8

Inspiration

I often drive around in the early morning just to compose myself for the day. Always looking for "quiet beauty" that I can share with others. Frederick County is a beautiful place for this! Have since moved to southern West Virginia, and this fall will be the first in a new place. Looking forward to some early morning drives to capture colors here.

Editing

I use Lightroom, and usually boos vibrance and clarity.
