Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken on a back country gravel road across from where I was dropping off a student and around the corner from where I worked later on.

Time

This is probably one of my top 100 images so far. Took it on the 30th of October at around 1730 hours. I love the natural light early and late in the day!

Equipment

This was shot with an old Sony Cybershot DSC-H1 that I just happened to have with me.

Inspiration

Just happened to see the way the light was hitting this old shed and thought that it was pretty cool.

Editing

I opening this up in Paintshop Pro - tweaked up the sharpness and tonal quality and that was about it.

In my camera bag

A lot of the time I take the advice another photographer and just have a camera with a specific lens of the week and that's it. I kick myself for not carrying spares but when I do go out on a specific shoot, I still only carry about 3 lens and a tripod. Still playing with filters!

Honestly ... just have your camera with you at all times and take advantage of what you see wherever you are!
