Location
In December-Febuary each year it is the time that these seagulls migrate from the far away land as far as Russia and Bhutan to station in Bang Pu, Samutprakran. This area is famous for the locals especially the families to come and spend the weekend together. Not only the seagulls this area is rich with marine life diversity which makes it a perfect location for these long-distance travellers.Time
It was a perfect day for many others who come to see these animals and for a little fun in the sun, I remembered it was not so hot day , it was crowded though. I drove about an hour from my house there with nothing but my distracted and disturbed mind. That day the sky was nice and clear, I especially love the colour of the winter sky in Asia. It is very special.Lighting
I always tell myself that the best light is the natural light and the best camera ids whatever camera you have in your hand at “The moment” Your imagination is way far more important than anything in creating or capturing the perfect image. This was natural light I guess it was about 16:30 pm in February 2016Equipment
I shot this image with Canon EOS 5D Mark II, EF24-70 mm f2.8L II USM on a tripod with a timer with the natural light and very co-ordinating seagulls :-)Inspiration
?Most of my self portraits from that period (Early 2016- Early 2018) reflected my feeling in the failure of my relationship, I often took a self portrait inspired by emotions at the time instead of writing about it. This particular piece was based on the saying “If you really love something you have to let it go” Hiding my face and emotions at the same time as trying to let go of something you love was the hardest thing I have ever attempted to do, I do not urge you to try it lolEditing
I changed the color of the sky a little bit in Lightroom , I do always use this shade if blue in most of my photos especially the outdoor fashion set and I might have added a bird or two , can you tell which ones ?In my camera bag
I normally have a Canon EOS 5D Mark II, EF24-70 mm f2.8L II USM and EF 70-200mm 1:2.8 IS II USM for my commercial works, both fashion set and portraits. But lately I am in love with the Sony RX100 VI, it is a very powerful little camera that I have been traveling with on holidays on my recent trip to Art Basel Miami and even the 3 Wisemen Festival in Madrid !Feedback
Be yourself because everyone else is already taken, that would be my advice.
