I thought this picture was just beautiful and awe-inspiring. This is the Golden Pavilion in Japan. Believe me, this looks a lot better in color. This is a guest house built for the Third(?) Shogun. He had it covered in 4x4 inch squares of gold leaf twice to show off his power and wealth to those staying in the guest house. It really is gorgeous. I took so many pictures. Maybe I'll put more up later (in color). Enjoy!
