During ongoing lava eruption of Kilauea Volcano on the Big Island in Hawai'i, I often went hiking along the coastline to the ocean entry that was within Volcano National Park, taking friends and neighbors. This eruption had been on-going for more than 10 years, flowing from Pu'u O'o down the pali to the ocean. There are many incredible lava structures, such as this one my friend's son climbed to the top of.
