My friend Morgan, 8-months pregnant, wanted to have pregnancy photos that were not typical and asked if I would photograph her at the beach of Waipio on the Big Island where we live. To get there we had to drive nearly two hours, drive down a treacherous 25% grade road and ultimately cross the Waipo river on foot. The result was images of her beauty with the gorgeous Waipio seashore as a backdrop.
