Behind The Lens

Location

I took this photo on 19 March 2011 on Cenang Beach in Langkawi, Malaysia

Time

I took the photo at dusk, it was about 7.30pm or 19.30 as people were taking gentle strolls along the beach after a very hot day.

Lighting

I didn’t use any special lighting just natural light

Equipment

I used a Canon Powershot SX710 HS camera, hand held

Inspiration

The light and the colours were amazing

Editing

No, I haven’t enhanced the photo at all, it is as it came out

In my camera bag

Either the Canon Powerlshot or my iPhone 6

Feedback

I could see the light and colours gradually getting stronger so had time to be patient and get the camera ready. Then when I felt the time was right, such as having the people walk into view, I took the photo. With a subject such as sunsets, you have time to assess the situation with regards to light and colours and what you want to include in the photo so be patient and snap when you’re happy.
