I started the 3-hour hike early to reach the ‘key hole’ in time to see the sun peak through. After climbing boulders and crossing countless streams, my biggest fear was slipping and dropping all of my camera gear in the water. The only way to avoid it was to get in and hold my gear up above me. I still have a vivid memory of the piercing cold as I stripped down to my boxers to wade through the water.
