Location
I received an invitation to learn more about photographing raptors. So I took my 12 year old son with me to a suburb of Chicago and spent the day talking to the Fujifilm rep, trying their new camera and just seeing what caught my eye at an Avion rescue. This image was one of them. When I saw the owl sitting on the bale of hay with a pumpkin behind her, I had to take the shot. I was thinking that my mom would love to use this on the greeting cards she makes for those who are on the church card list and my military personnel. All in all, my son and I shot about 1200 pictures in about 3 hours. Owls, Hawks, falcons and vultures. We had a lot of fun. And I was able to introduce him to other photographers and different equipment.Time

I normally use my Canon EOS T6 with 3 different lenses. 18-75mm, 70-300mm, and my 420-800mm. All are relatively inexpensive. My T6 is the most expensive piece of equipment I own. Including my laptop.Feedback
Shoot what catches your eye. Always carry a camera with you. Shoot for you, not for what everyone else is shooting.
