I used my Canon T6 with a 70-300mm zoom lens. Hand held so that I could move with the aircraft as they flew and landed. Much like I do with NASCAR and Indy Cars at Indianapolis Motor Speedway.Inspiration

I carry a 18-110mm lens, 2.2 teleconverter, and several different filters for different effects. Extra batteries and a water bottle.Feedback
Follow through and patience. Take pictures of what captures your eye and if it is in motion then move the camera in time with your subject, from before the shot until after the shutter has reopened. Then take more.
