Location

The sandy shores of Ocean Beach, San Diego California.

Time

During a beautiful summer sunset.

Lighting

The natural lighting of the sunset reflected off the crashing waves to create the perfect backdrop for the surfer.

Equipment

I took the photo with the only camera I had on hand; my Iphone 7.

Inspiration

The way the colorful sunset reflected on the water for the dark surfer silhouette was a view worth capturing.

Editing

The only post-processing done was to lightened the background the make the surfer stand out more.

In my camera bag

I typically carry a Canon Powershot SX530.
