Behind The Lens

Location

This was taken at the Audubon Zoo in New Orleans. I was with my granddaughter and we were lucky enough for this magnificent creature to pose for me.

Time

It was around 1PM.

Lighting

It was an overcast, humid day. Nice, even lighting.

Equipment

Canon 5D MkIV with a Canon 70-200 f2.8 IIL lens.

Inspiration

Simple; I love the big cats!

Editing

Yes. Highlites dropped, shadows raised, contrast, sharpening, heavy crop for that 'portrait look'.

In my camera bag

Telephoto and wide angle lens, flash, spare memory cards and batteries.

Feedback

If you're at a zoo, a 70-200 or similar lens is just about perfect. Add a 24-70 for the 'family' shots and you're golden.
