Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken outside my home in India. I was returning from a walk in the evening when I saw this beautiful moth effortlessly camouflaging itself among the leaves of the plant.

Time

This image was taken on a rainy evening when all the plants were at their brightest color.

Lighting

I wanted this image to look mysterious, not revealing all the elements together. I had to adjust my position so as to let the moth be a hidden element in the image. The corridor lighting proved sufficient.

Equipment

This image was shot on a mobile camera (Redmi Note 4) with no other equipment used.

Inspiration

I was returning from a walk in the evening when I saw this beautiful moth effortlessly camouflaging itself among the leaves of the plant. I wanted the image to be mysterious and capture the "camouflaging" nature of the moth well.

Editing

I just corrected the contrast and structure.

In my camera bag

I usually carry my phone and a macro lens with me, even when I commuting within the city.
